Bio
Heylo and Welcome! I'm Keith / KaM / HRH King Tharadus / RedMage / Jeremy Gylrd [with great honour to the late Mr. Jeremy Thomas (Updated link) / Roger (Mooning Champ of Rydell High), K-Dog (the endearing one), and the list goes on less favourably.

I come from Sunderland, a city on the North-East coast, and am lucky enough to have studied English at the University of Bristol, before tarnishing loyalties by taking postgraduate research North to Edinburgh, and then hitting a jackpot to move overseas to Switzerland. Down in the West Country, I managed the bar at the Halls of Residence, Wills Hall (badly), and worked with sick children and families at the Bristol Royal Hospital for children. There are also great memories of summer schools, most notably the amazing NAGTY from 2005 and 2006 which kept me out of trouble. During the Edinburgh stint (06/07), living at home and commuting to Edinburgh was my grand and meagre achievement, but it made possible the amazing position I have now.

I'm a huge Knightmare fan (TV wise), an 80s-90s adolescent game-show; huge Alphaville fan (music wise), (had the glory of seeing them live in Berlin for the 20th anniversary celebrations in August 2004 ~ happen we almost share birthdays!); and R.A. Salvatore fan (reading wise ~ which, in many instances, inspired me and this journal). I try and write myself from time to time: different efforts with poetry, briefly as a football article writer for CMSorted.net, and tried my hand at leading Creative Writing classes for the Falstaff Society during my final year as an undergrad at Bristol, and more successfully at the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth. Now the more regular features are working on papers for seminars, papers for conferences, and contributing and editing the Features section of our English Department Newsletter, NOTED. I have a worringly eclectic taste in shirts, and am addicted to caffeine ~ it's very real.. mmmm.

I have lots of life theories which help me understand what goes on around me. If only I kept awake to them as vividly as I should. First and foremost, love all my friends, even when silence and distance may demonstrate otherwise. Everyone close is most important. I find myself as a simple equation: that I am totally comprised from them - if they're up, I'm up; if they're down, I'm down - so it's in my best interests to be there for everyone and keep them happy, is it not? That is the idea: lately I have ruined the practice. In a recent reflection, I had to conclude the following: "I am so very sorry for letting such distance grow unchallenged. Please forgive me, and think better of me. You have always had my Love." This year, words must speak louder than silence, and actions louder than words.
